There are over 150 majors at UIUC. You want to find one that fits you. Just because a major fits your roommate or best friend doesn't mean it will fit you. To discover if a major is a good fit for you, ask some key questions:
- What types of courses are required?
- Would I want to take these?
- What areas of concentration are available?
- What skills are needed to succeed in these courses?
- Do I think I would do well?
- Is this an undergrad or graduate degree program?
- Do I have the necessary prerequisites to transfer into this major or apply to this grad program?
- What careers are related to this major?
