What time should I be there?

Ideally, you would want to arrive by 2:30 pm. We will have welcoming remarks and housekeeping announcements at 2:45 pm and the doors will open to students at 3:00 pm. Allow yourself enough time to set up your table and grab a bite to eat from our complimentary refreshments table.

What is the nearest airport?

Willard Willard Airport (CMI) in Savoy is our local airport. Car rental and shuttle service to the university are available at the airport.

Where should I stay?

Click on our "Lodging" link on the menu bar for hotel information.

Where do I park?

You are entitled to one parking permit per registration. The parking permit will be emailed in September to the representative who is listed on the registration form. If you are on the road most of the month, please make arrangements to get your parking pass from someone at your home office.

Will I have internet access?

On the registration form you will be asked whether or not you will be bringing a computer that you wish to use to access the internet. Please indicate "yes" on the registration form and a guest account with temporary username and password will be created for your use during the event. A laptop for general use will be available at the registration desk for individuals who do not bring their own.

How can I advertise my program to students?

The cost of being included in The Career Center's marketing plan is included in your registration fee. Also, you can find a list of Registered Student Organizations at http://www.union.illinois.edu/involvement/rso.htm.

I can’t remember if I registered. How do I find out?

If you registered you should have printed your confirmation page as prompted upon successful registration and you should have received a confirmation email from The Career Center within two weeks of registering. If you cannot find either your confirmation email or your confirmation page, please contact Linda Friedemann at (217) 333-7079 for assistance. Please note that if we have not received your payment, your registration is NOT confirmed.

May I ship materials in advance?

Yes, we do allow you to ship materials in advance. We will not be able to accept materials until late August/early September. As soon as it is available, we will provide you with shipping information. Please keep in mind that your materials MUST arrive before the day of the event. For more details on advance shipping of materials (Note: displays must be brought with you to the conference) via UPS Service, please contact Linda Friedemann at (217) 333-7079.

We are unable to send a representative to the fair this year, can we send materials to be set out?

Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we cannot accept materials from schools that are not registered for the fair.

We have more than one representative. How do we order extra lunches?

The registration fee includes one lunch. You may order extra lunches when you register for $10 per lunch. If you find you need more than one lunch and have already registered, please notify us as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate you. Please contact Linda Friedemann at (217) 333-7079.

We have more than one representative. Can we get more parking passes?

Unfortunately, we are only able to reserve a limited number of parking meters per day. Therefore we cannot issue more than one parking pass per table. If you have trouble finding parking for an extra car, please let us know and we will do our best to help you find metered parking in the area. Please be advised that parking is limited on our campus and standard meter rates are 75 cents/hour. If you would like to purchase an additional permit through University of Illinois Parking Services, you may visit their website at http://www.parking.uiuc.edu/visitorparkinginfo.htm
