How do I find out who is attending the fair?
Please refer to the school listing on this website-the link is located at the left hand menu bar. These pages will be updated regularly as schools register for the event. You can also come to the fair and review the information packet to see who is attending.
What should I do to prepare?
Visit our “How to Prepare” section by clicking at the link on the left hand menu bar for some helpful preparation advice.
What should I wear?
You do not need to dress up to attend the Graduate and Professional School Fair. Feel free to wear what you might normally wear to class. Keep in mind, however, that you do want to make a good impression so a neat and clean appearance is advisable.
Why don’t more schools from outside the Midwest attend?
We invite a large number of programs from outside the Midwest and our fair is advertised on a national calendar and e-newsletter that are accessible to thousands of Graduate and Professional program representatives across the country. However, air travel to Champaign-Urbana can be expensive. It’s not always cost effective for schools outside the Midwest to attend our fair, especially if they do not typically receive large numbers of applications from our students.
What if there aren’t any programs that interest me?
How do you know? If there are programs in your discipline or closely related disciplines, why not talk to the representatives and learn more before assuming you aren’t interested in the program? You may be surprised!
Why aren’t there any programs in my discipline represented?
Unfortunately, given that we have limited space for program representatives, we cannot guarantee every academic and/or professional discipline will be represented. We invite a wide range of programs in hopes of attaining as much variety as possible.
