Pre-Health at Illinois
- Students applying to UIC College of Medicine
- UIC has returned to a policy of accepting two Behavioral/Social courses (in the same field) and one additional social/behavioral science course to meet their minimum requirements. You may use the courses listed in the BESS AMCAS classification (Anthropology, Economics, Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology) to meet this. What does this mean to you? For example, if you have two courses in Economics and one course in Sociology, this would fulfill the requirement. For more information, please see their new website here
- Students applying to Optometry schools this year
- The centralized application service, OptomCAS, is now open. Because this service will include letters of evaluation, how letters are processed will be different than in years past. Please refer to the OptomCAS Letters flyer to learn more about the changes.
- Students applying to Speech Language Pathology and Audiology schools this year
- The centralized application service, CSDCAS, is now open. Schools participating in CSDCAS will require your letters to be processed differently than in years past. Please refer to the CSDCAS letters flyer for more information. For additional information regarding the timing of your letters and application through CSDCAS, please click here.
