Workshops by Request

The Career Outreach Team consists of students trained to facilitate the development of your professional skills. Our six workshops can be scheduled at a time and place convenient for you—either at The Career Center, or your campus location. All presentation participants receive printed materials and have the opportunity for question and answer dialogue with the presenter. All presentations use PowerPoint.

All presentations require 2 weeks notice, and a minimum attendance of 10 persons.

	Career Fairs: Make an Impression	Learn how to best approach a career fair in order to make a good impression and get the most out of your time at the event.
	Career Paths: Making the Next Step	Learn the steps to take that will put you on the right career path.
	Internship Essentials	Learn how to search for and successfully obtain career related work experiences.
	Networking Your Job Search	Learn how your network can serve as a resource for your job search and career.
	Salary Negotiation	What are you worth? This workshop teaches you how to negotiate your salary through a series of special techniques.
	Successful Interviewing	A one hour workshop that includes types of interviews, interview preparation and responses to typical behavioral questions.
	Winning Resumes and Cover Letters	The basics of writing a resume including format and objectives in a one hour workshop. Cover letters and special situations are also addressed.
